Follow Your Own Advice.

In the past couple of days, I've encountered a number of smart people who have been confused about what to do next in respect of some aspect of their business life, yet would be able to provide perfect strategic or tactical advice to someone else in their situation. We're all guilty of this. The solution is often to follow your own advice.

Giving yourself advice is hard 'though John - at least it's different.

I gave my wife a precis of exactly how she should fill out a self evaluation form last night with a cut and thrust that I would find extremely difficult to do of myself

Yes John, but I'm saying it's not that eeeeeeaaaasssyyyyy to do it on yourself.

It requires objectivity. It requires a frame of mind that allows you to detach yourself sufficiently from your feelings to see where the critical factors of success and failure lie.

That's why implementation is much tougher than ideas.
